3. What is the largest barrel size that will work?
Since the JAE-100 G3 has a straight contour, it will fit all barrel sizes, including the Heavy Barrels.
4. How is the basic stock constructed?
It is machined in aircraft aluminum and then proprietary composite side panels are permanently bonded to the aluminum. The combination of materials used create great harmonics.
5. How do I calculate the total price including all the options?
Go to the “Ordering Details Page” and click on the PDF for the price list/order form. Figure out which options you want and add that to the starting price of $599.00. Then add $30.00 for shipping and handling within the United States (or $45.00 for Alaska and Hawaii). If you’re located in California then you would add the sales tax for your county.
6. Do you offer a Military or Law Enforcement discount?
Yes, there is a 5% discount off Retail Price for the entire order for Active LEO / Military / Firefighters.
7. Do you ship outside of the U.S.?
No, we do NOT, but we have dealers that are set up to legally obtain the required export licenses.

8. What is the Lead Time from order date?
Lead times vary so it is best to e-mail us to find out what the current wait time is.
9. Is Glass Bedding required?
No, the two metal lug slides are drawn into the stock with the action and then you tighten the bolts on the bottom. They act like a door wedge and mate the receiver to the stock for a tight fit. This eliminates the need for glass bedding and allows you to remove the action and reinstall as often as you like without any degradation or loss of zero.
10. How does the optional Barrel Tensioner work?
It connects through the slot in the barrel band and allows you to adjust the tension up or down on your barrel; thus potentially improving your shot groups. Since everyone’s rifle has different tolerance stack ups, the tension on the front end may or may not be where it needs to be and with the barrel tensioner you can make these fine adjustments.
11. Can the Optional Accessories be added on later?
With the new Gen 3 stock everything can be added later but the stock needs to be shipped back in for adding the Thumbwheel Cheek Rest, Quick Detach Mechanism, and Side Rail Adapters. All the other options can be added by the end user.
12. Is the stock California Compliant?
Yes……..Since, per the California DOJ, they only provide guidance, not approvals for stocks, JAE corresponded over several months and designed the JAE-100 grip with their input to ensure that our stock would be in compliance with the California laws.
In an excerpt from a California DOJ letter to JAE dated October 22, 2003, they confirm the definition of an assault weapon:
"California Penal Code section 12276.1 provides, in pertinent part: "(a) NotwithstandingSection 12276, 'assault weapon' shall also mean any of the following: (1) Asemiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following: (A) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath theaction of the weapon…" In addition, Section 978.20, subdivision (d) of the California Code of Regulations provides, "pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon' means a grip that allows for a pistol style grasp in which the web of the trigger hand (beneath the thumb and index finger) can be placed below the top of the exposed portion of the trigger while firing."
As you can see in the photo below, we have designed the JAE-100 grip so that, when grasped normally, the web of the trigger hand would be placed well above the exposed portion of the trigger.
